Our Mission

We, at HF Farm, have believed in the power of quality food from the moment we began to farm in 2017. Our grassroots operation is based on the knowledge of a broken food system. We believe in the power of clean meats, as long as the animal is raised right. The healthier our animals are, the better they are for us. The healthier our soil is, the healthier it is for our animals. We choose to go the extra mile to create a system for our hogs and chickens. Taking the hands on approach to ensure quality pastures and animal welfare.

When we say pasture raised, we mean it. All of our animals spend their lives on fresh pasture, soaking up fresh air, sunshine and all of natures natural food sources they can get. We control where the animals are on pasture, being extra careful not to overwork the land, promoting regeneration. We move our animals daily, by utilizing mobile chicken coops and hog huts that are easily slid along the pasture.  You wont see any permanent fencing on HF Farm. By controlling where the animals are, we create a constant cycle of disturbance and regrowth. Better for the animals, better for the environment and most importantly better for you. Pasture raised meats have proven time and time again that they are more nutrient dense than most commercially raised meats, leading to more health benefits for you.

We believe our job as farmers is to support our animals in every way, providing them with a prosperous habitat and supplementing with a beneficial diet that is completely corn and soy free. We have chosen to remove highly genetically modified fillers, corn and soy, from our animals because we believe there is very little nutritional value to the animal. As well as the proven health risks linked to humans who consume high amounts of corn and soy. We also choose to not feed any animal by-products, another very common additive to many animals feeds that we believe do more harm than good. Your health is dependent on the health of the animals you eat, no hormones, no antibiotics, no fillers or cutting corners on cheap food supplements. HF Farm is proud to raise a clean, natural product.

We value the idea of “knowing your farmer”, we believe in the power of knowing where your food comes from. Being open and HONEST about our practices and process is important to us. We may not be able to change the food system in a big way but we strive to make an impact locally.
